Headache Troubles, Please Help! |
|
I have been getting cluster headaches with a mixture of tension headaches. Has anyone found anything that can help stomp out these sort of headaches? It has been two months on and off for me and no meds are working.

2. Justme2007 (1440) | 3 years ago | There is a pill that melts in your mouth, but I don't remember what it is called ask your doctor. If you feel the headache coming on try to take some Advil before it get real strong or try this Butalbital Compound I got it from my doc and it helped as long as I take it before the headache gets to bad. God Bless and hope you find something that helps.

3. GardenGerty (20434) | 3 years ago | For quick relief, people are saying to drink two glasses of gatorade. I say that the reason that works is because of the minerals that are the electrolytes gatorade replaces. One of those is magnesium. You get it in seafood, some nuts and legumes, and bananas, but I also make sure to take mine as a supplement. You will also find you have fewer muscle aches, and that you sleep better, and have reduced charley horse type cramps. The magnesium will not hurt your stomach, and will help you utilize the calcium in your diet. I hope that this is helpful. I used to get headaches so severe that they blasted me awake, and lasted for hours no matter what I took, I was glad when I discovered this information, and I do not get those particular types of headaches anymore. Now, if I do not get enough caffeine, that is a different story, but I am working on it. By the way, dehydration can also lead to headaches.

4. lynboobsy11 (2906) | 3 years ago | Maybe these is the time you must consult to a doctor for a several check up. It seems your head ache is not that just a ordinary head ache It seems you try all the things for it will not comeback. But still no work, I know a head ache is just a symtoms that you've had other sickness inside your body that you don't know and the only way for you to know is to see a doctor. For some test that maybe you will have the answer. It happens to me all the time before and I merely found out that I my blood pressure is to high because of eating too much fat and my doctors suggest me to have a diet and yeah it's true my blood pressure goes down as well as my head ache to is gone too.

6. kiiizu (1479) | 3 years ago | I'm a migrainic also. Luckily with age it went more bearable for me. You know, which excercises you have to do? Not breathing, not yoga but everything for "lower" part of your body, especially for stomach. I read about it long ago. At first I didn't believe it but I decided to try, and it did really work. Not at once of course but in couple of weeks you will feel the difference. The headaches didn't fully disappear of course but they weren't so awful anymore.

| 7. healthycoffee (12) | 3 years ago | There are many things to help your condition, the first thing to try is chiropractic adjustments. After a couple of quick trips (maybe the first one!) you'll know if it works for you, it did for me. A couple of other people have mentioned high blood pressure which you should rule out. If you are a coffee or tea drinker, switching to healthy coffee will lower your blood pressure, lift your spirits and give you a good nights sleep. The other nutritional supplement that can help is to try glyconutrients, they go to work inside your body so it can heal itself, they are a proven scientific breakthrough. You might want to consider having your eyes checked, you might be due for some glasses. Drink plenty of water as our bodies are 98% water and a lot of physical pain is actually our bodies dying of thirst! You wouldn't put tomato juice in your iron - coffee, juice, pop and other drinks are NOT water. Eliminate chemicals from your diet (msg, artificial sweeteners, etc) and make sure to air out your rooms on a daily basis. Use unscented laundry soap and body care products, give away your perfume! Extreme measures consist of removing carpeting from your home because of the fumes they give off, using natural fabrics and buying clothing that don't have to go to the dry cleaners. In short, we live in a very polluted world and sometimes from seemingly out of the blue when we've been exposed to one toxin too many, we develop physical maladies. I wish to the best of luck eliminating things from your life until you find the one that allows you to live a pain free life:)

Island_Geko (1520) | 3 years ago | First of all thanks for the post. I do go to the chiropractor, I do not drink coffee that much for I have issues with insomnia, but I do drink organic chinese teas. I do not use scented items due to allergies and breathing issues. I am stuck with artifical sweetners for my hun is diabetic and I refuse to have sugar in the house. Meditation and eliminating stress is helping but I still tend to get the odd weekly nasty head blaster, perscription meds do not help me and I am trying alternating treatment for relief of them.

8. hersmart4ever (4396) | 3 years ago | Be sure you have plenty of sleep and drink plenty of water. There is a part of the head that you can press whenever you feel the pain but I cant demonstrate it here. Take any of the following during headache attack: ibuprofen, pain reliever, mefenamic acid. Dont expose yourself to too much heat. It could cause headache.

9. kelly60 (3270) | 3 years ago | My son and I both suffer from migraines. The doctor put me on medications to prevent them, and the headaches are occurring much less frequently now. My son just got on a preventative medication. Hopefully his headaches will become less frequent too. The medications don't stop the headaches completely, but they do help to keep them from coming back as often. If you are getting them often you might want to check with your doctor.
