i dont think it is weird, especially if it really isnt a tote bag.
there is a kind of bag in which it is acceptable to be carried around by men and that is a clutchbag. is that what you are referring to? :)

well, if that is what you are referring to, then i think it is alright for men to carry those around. my boyfriend even has clutch bags and they are really helpful in lugging some important stuffs around.

men have to carry their stuffs around too, you know. lolz. :)

It depends on the bag, there's some that are for men (manbags!) but I really think men look better without those. What do they carry in there anyway? See me, in my bags I carry make-up, few brushes, a mirror, sometimes a small umbrella (in the rainy season) my wallet and some electronics (mp3 player, cell phone). A man doesn't really need a bag since a man wouldn't be carrying half of those items.. so I do often wonder. Lol.

hmmm.. Have you ever watched the episode of friends where Joey has the same dilemma as you have right now?... I suggest you follow what he did at the end of the show...hehehe

I believe no matter what bag we carry it doesn’t look weird as long as the bag could really serve the purpose that we want. Like that in your case, since you feel it is fashionable it is nothing for you to carry it. I did see men carry tote bags walking in the shopping malls here. If more and more men were to carry such bag then it will become more popular. Than you won’t look funny as what you feel. Anyhow it is quite normal for youngsters carrying some fancy and colorful belonging nowadays.
