In crossword puzzles, do you check your answers the next day?

I got this hobby/trait from my father. He likes doing the crossword puzzles in the daily newspaper. So now I also cannot help but turn my attention first to the puzzle before I even read the contents of the paper, LOL! So I was just wondering, if those who are interested in doing crossword puzzle if they check their answers on the next day. For me, I don't usually check my answers. I just love doing it but I do not really compare if I got the right answers. Which kind of defeats the purpose right? Because they say its one way of improving your word knowledge. What do you think?

well mari, my mom is an addict and would solve crossword puzzles anyhow. give her the most tricky ones and she will have the answer!! i have hardly found her seeing and checking the results the next day. i think, she does it for fun and only when she finds it real hard she waits for the answer.

I love crossword puzzles too. I usually have to wait until I can check the answers before I can finish one though. LOL I get stumped and have to have a hint. IT doesn't stop me from enjoying doing them though.

I love doing crossword puzzles and I do them every time I get hold of a newspaper. But I very seldom check the answers the following day. If one is doing the crosswords of the same newspaper, I find that some answers just recur so I find them easy already.

I have to admit that I only occasionally do the crosswords in the paper, as I have a book of cryptics that comes out every three months, and I tend to do those instead. I'm not one to check answers, unless one really gets me stumped and I have to know what it is. Otherwise, I tend to believe that if I solve the puzzle, all the answers should be right anyway!
