Do you remember your grade school years? How much has it influenced your personality and character today? Do you still remember your favorite subjects as well as your worst ones?

my primary years were full of fun and unforgettable experiences. it was during my first grade when i started to learn how to read and write the alphabet and numbers. that somehow motivated to study harder until i reached the 6th level. my mom became my teacher while i was on my 3rd grade and i learned much from her and couldn't forget how she influenced my life and character today. she was very strict and fair in the sense that she treated everyone in her class with equality. i even thought that she did not recognize and love me anymore as her son. i learned from her the value of discipline, diligence and impartiality. during those years i was more inclined on history, culture and current events of the world in general. i was more interested particularly in the history of our country, its people, geography and government. another favorite was science. i was once a participant of a regional science quiz representing our city but failed to get the trophy. this experience prompted me to work harder and developed the habit of reading more books and researching on various topics. i hated arithmetic or math that time. i had difficulty memorizing the multiplication table which made me recall how my mom punished me for that. she sent me home one day and advised me to go over the multipication table and memorize it. within 2 days, i think, i accomplished it and my mom was very proud of me.

I rememeber grade school pretty well. My favorite subject was math. My worst was craft. I am sure it influenced my life and personality. I believe everything I experience influences and changes me in some way.

I hated them all equally at first. I was reading adult-level books in kindergarten, and I wanted to be left alone to read my books all day. Instead I was forced to read baby books and play games that were far below my level. I thought every one of my teachers was an idiot, and if forced to take my head out of a book, I would look for excuses to correct my teachers. Once I got into a "gifted and talented" program, I enjoyed school a little more because I was being challenged. Literature of course became my favorite subject.

My favorite was reading and math. I was really good at both. As I left high school I don't do as much math so a lot of what Ilearned has left me. But reading i do wheneverI can. My worst was science but as an adult I feel more drawn to learn more about it. Wierd how it works out thaat way.
