Just A Slight Tinge Of Jealousy

I'm not normally the type of person who is prone to acts of jealousy but I must confess to feeling a little twinge today. My wife is off on a well deserved girls weekend in Las Vegas which just happens to be my favorite place in the world. She is keeping me updated on the trip by texting me photos of her day...it's a real nice thing to do but just makes me want to be there...to make up for it I am playing the ponies today and pretending I am there

The grass is always greener, so they say. You live there wishing you were here. I live in Vegas and wish I were anywhere but here.
OK, not anywhere, there are some little towns in Nevada, like Indian Springs, that are even crappier than Vegas.
Vegas is great if you are a tourist with money to burn and only gonna be here a week or two, but try living here. UGH!

What so bad about living in Vegas ? If you don't like the night-life, you can always ignore it. Just as many people that lives in Denver or Colorado that have never ski before, or climb any peaks, but that doesn't mean they dis-like living in Colorado.

I've never been to Vegas.............and I've never had a girls night out, let alone a weekend in Vegas out. Plus, I couldn't affor either at this point (which sucks). Luckily I'm not into gambling like others in my family are..........seems to be bad addictions all over my family. Plus, I figure that every time I get into my car I'm gambling with my life, and that's enough for me.

I so understand your little twinges of jealousy. You are happy that she is able to get away and have fun, but you wish you could be there too type of thing. :) I have moments like that too.

I've never been to Vegas. I hear from many people that once one visits Vegas once they want to go back again and again. I have been to Atlantic City many years ago...and I actuallly didn't like it that much. I imagine that Vegas is much more fun.

I've never been to Atlantic City and I know that a lot of people just think of Vegas as a gambling town but there is so much more to do and see there...I love it, I feel very free there

I think it's great that your wife is off on a girls weekend. That's so important...I wish I got to see some of my girlfriends who are scattered across the country more often.
I went to Vegas for the first time least year. We had a fun time but I realized that I didn't really like gambling. I'm just too uptight about money! I hated seeing it wasted away when I knew I could have been using it to buy drinks by the pool!
My boyfriend however was "even steven" he totally broke even and it seemed the bigger the slot machine the better he did!
