I have no ideas about online albums, hearing this term for the first time...Please could you give me the link to any such online albums? I will try it out. Do we need to pay any cost for storing photos?

i use some photo sharing online programs, except for pictures of my son. those i keep password protected on my website, so i can control who sees them and i can track how people access the page.

yup. there are websites like that... password protected. and also you can choose people who are only allowed to see them. it's like having your own privacy even when you have your photos online... anne

Hi, mymytri, In fact I do not know how to keep photos on online. I will have to learn from somebody. Since you say online photos are misused, I would not venture to keep them on online. Thanks

I have a few photos in the album that comes on the computer but I haven't tried the online albums. I am kinda cautious about putting photos online because you can run into all kinds of creepies. I'm just cautious though.:) I'm sure it's probably mostly safe as long as you're careful.

I do that but I don't think it is safe enough. I just send some of my photoes in my mail box and the Xiaonei net. I won't send all my photoes on the line. So I suggest safty comes first.

I use myfamily.com. They let you set up a website with photos and news and stories. It is very easy to do and people must be invited to join. I have only just begun, but am finding it easy to do and quite fun!

I have used www.snapfish.com both for developing my 35mm films and for storing some of my pictures online. I was not happy though when I tried to share some of the pictures with a friend and those that were downloaded by my friend were distorted. Apparently they deliberately distort the pictures that others try to download from my account, even though they allow me to share them... she could look at pictures of my granddaughter, but she could not download one.

I have an online album on photobucket, but I don't share those photos with anybody. However, my photos in my myspace albums are available to anyone to look at. I've never worried about their misuse.

There are photo sharing sites which are unsafe because they have no options of privatizing the photos uploaded in their site. But there are reputable photo sharing sites which give their members the option to screening the individuals who could get access to your photos. Example to this is Flickr, the yahoo affiliate which is perfect if you have photos you dont want anybody else to see. I believe it's perfectly safe there.

the best photo online storing is the website where you register legally like paying annually for it's maintenance..but if you register to a free online photo storing then it's not so sure that you photo will be maintained. you should provide hardcopies on it before saving it online..for your back-up..

I use online sites to send photos to my friends, but never store them there. I took a survey on line with a lot of questions about new features under development. For instance, request on line sites to make hard prints and deliver by express. They ask about the minimum and maximum number of photos anticipated, and if willing to pay a certain expense, concern about online storage, etc.

Twice now, I have lost ALL my photos due to computer crashes. It was horrible. The first time, I had photos on my computer that I downloaded from a disc. But the second time, they were from my digital camera, and I had no other copies of them. They're just... gone. The only ones I can have back are the ones I've sent to family members and those surely weren't the only ones. My suggestion, even over blogs or other online ways to store photos is to save them to a disc and have hard copies printed at wal-mart or some other store that does it. Then keep them in a safe place at home. That way you'll have them online when you want them, but you've always got hard copies to back them up should something go wrong.

yes,I have so many photoes in my e-mail,and there are also so many photoes in my computer.because most of the photoes taken by digital camera,so I just leave them in it,then transferred to my computer.

well for me i don't use that, because the moderators of course are looking at your pictures, so now another person has seen them. and plus you never know if you can trust the website, i mean you can research about it, but you never know.

Hello mymytri, yes I do use online albums to store and share photos with my friends and relatives. I think its a great way to do so and saves on my hard disk space when I store them online. I have one on yahoo photos, also I am using photobucket.com. Another new one also that I am currently using right now is shareapic, I store my pictures there to share it with my relatives and friends, plus at the same time I get some added bonus. I think its safe because I have been using them for a long time.:-) http://tinyurl.com/3azktu Link if you want to check it out. Take care! :-)
