I visited my sister today.Among the brood 0f 4, she is the eldest and I am the third who are closest with eact other.Today is the third day of her chemotherapy, she lay very weak, pale and limp on her bed.I tried to put a smile on my face and say hello to her, but she gave me the saddest and fearful stare. Her constant look in my face would right away guess that she has full of questions, but she was void of words. She just simply told me" Ifelt so weak, I haven't experienced this my legs and joints seems to me like a jelly can't even stand for a long time. Her outburst of sudden tears gave me a clue of her unknown fears.I hugged her tight and gave my comforting words and support. Suddenly, my niece, her 4 year old witty daughter came in rushing to my sister's room saying,"Why mama is crying, and so are you Auntie?"Why the two of you are just crying look at me and she starts singing...Then she said, should I cry too so there will be the three of US?My sister started to cry more and I had i soothe her to stop...Have you been into this situation...how to say to your niece or daughter that Mama is alright...but just that she have Cancer...My throat got dried and in the end I got ou from my sister's bed and be in the corner and cried out so loud!!!My mouth has been emptied of words, to battle cancerous illness is a reality of TRUE suffering...How can I tell my sister's children???
