Disappeared yet not forgotten. (Our friends who no longer post)

Although I haven't yet been here for years (yet) and compared to other forums which I have shared many long spells at I have not how some friends who no longer post here still remain on our thoughts.
Yes, the door of new people who join and those who are old and leave is something which always happens yet I still feel it's nice to remember them.
How many friends can you recall or any special buddies which you miss?
I miss quite a few, Sir Duke (daddyduke) would be one those mylotters I miss. Also lisa101 (i'm not sure if she has left) but still it's not the same.
I could list about 5 more, one who I very much spoke to via discussions a lot. (fifty) but who are your missing friends?

P.s Those in my list are members I've posted a long side since I was a member, so it's quite sad but I wish them luck with where ever they have gone. :)

I don't know any of the people you mention hon, I don't usually get that close to people and now I answer about 3 discussions a day.
I think I am on the verge to really quit myself.

Well that would be a shame if you did carol.
I still remember when I first noticed you and you've been one of the quickest friends that I've made around here. I would miss you though (especially if you did leave)

I don't know if I know of anyone who has left mylot, but I do know some people I liked chatting with that don't post as often. Although, I myself am now in that same situation. I no longer have internet access at home (for now... we just moved and there is no cable or DSL service in our area) So I can't log in much anymore. I assume everyone has their reasons for coming and going, and do think fondly of the "friends" that I might not get to chat with as much as I used to.

I wondered a month or so if you was still around but I just thought you had become busy. (but I wasn't posting much then myself)

I do not think that I have noticed any from my friends list that disappear or no longer active. But, I know what you mean exactly, it's always sad when that happens.

Most of those in my list was always responding to my discussions. I often keep tabs on those who post, I like to return a few responses and pop by too.

When I joined mylot, there are a lot of posters who's been pretty active for quite a while and for some reason, disappeared for good.
The first friend I had here was emerald eyes. She suddenly dropped out of mylot 3 months ago and until now, I haven't heard from her anymore. I miss her presence and her words of wisdom. She used to be consistently on the top hot spot and never failed to comment back on my response despite being a newbie that time.

I have had a couple of people who I have deleted from my friends list because they last logged on three or four months ago. I PM'd them first and waited a couple weeks or so and no response...I miss them and I hope they are well!:)
I myself am not on as often anymore because we are very short staffed at work and so I work five shifts a week plus I can no longer use the computer while my son is in therapy as the computer has become part of his therapy. I miss being here and I feel as if I am letting my friends down! I am so far behind in responding to discussions!!! I am trying to make up for some of that this morning but I have to work this afternoon!! :(
Thanks for the discussion Joey and an opportunity for me to come in and explain my infrequency on here!

Good to see you back on here, heavenschild, as I know you've got a lot on your plate, and even moreso these past few weeks. I understand why you can't be on as much, and I'm sure all of your other friends do also. Take care of yourself, and come and spend some time, whenever you get a free moment.:)

Hi Joey. Well I miss a few too. I used to love Shywolf - she posted great topics and discussions, and was a lovely, warm person - suddenly she disappeared:-(( Also serge4hair who was on my friends' list. I know he suffered from AIDS, so obviously his absence is especially worrying.

Yes, I do have some 'friends' that I miss on here. One in particular mentioned that she'd be going off for awhile, and I'm not even sure she's coming back. She said something about her sister taking over for her, but don't really know about that. Another one is going to school to become a pharmacist, but promised she'd drop by from time to time. I have deleted a couple too, after seeing that they hadn't logged on in months, and no contact from them. Others just don't seem to post as much now, but once in awhile. It can get discouraging at times.
I have a small core group of friends on here, who I can always count on, and I do my best to be a good friend to them too. I think of you as one of them Joey, and now that you're back from your break, I'll do my best to help you out too. Thanks for posting this interesting topic.:)

I was just wondering if these things were connected. Did these MyLotters jump or were they pushed? One member has not been active for a while because he has been blocked by admin. Apparently he can still log in but his replies to discussions are blocked, he cannot reply to messages and cannot contact his friends to let them know what has happened. His username is rolcam. He has tried contacting admin but got no replies. I have asked on his behalf but got no replies either. He would like to participate and does not know what he has done wrong. Perhaps these other users have had similar problems. Perhaps there is a shelf like on MyLot and once you have been a member for a while you get side lined. Thus they can save money and pay newcomers to keep them interested. Can anybody help him?

It could be that they have moved on to other forums or they are too busy to continue here at mylot. but then, there are a lot of members who had there accounts blocked by mylot recently. Many have moved on to other things and some have returned with new accounts. It is really unfortunate because when you come back you can't use the old account and it is really difficult to find all your friends again. But hopefully we will meet again as time goes by.
