It's really hard to make the prouniciation perfect if we are native speakers. I would say one thing I discovered which help me the most would be watching English movies or DVDs, even better if you could watch some TV series in English. It helps me to get used to their pace and listen to their accent more. Then I would practice with my foreigner friends. I think practicing is the key too and listening more help you getting familiar with the sound. Wish you good luck!

Hi, angela. As we know, the more listening we do, the better our Oral English becomes. Hope you can follow them soon. Have a good day! :)

Hi, angela2006. I think you wanna mean being more like native speaker, don't you? As far as I'm concerned, as one whose first language is not English, the best way to improve our pronunciation is to practise more or speak more with native speaker, even mime their tone. It may be helpful to listen or watch some English movies. By the way, I think it needs a long time for you to make your pronunciation perfect, so just keep on striving for it. You'll make it in the last. Good luck to you! Have a nice day! :)

always try to read out loud angela. and if you can, try reading infront of the mirror. then, you'll start gaining self confidence by doing so. listen to english movies and listen to english songs. if you can, you can check some online lessons on pronunciation. it can help you a lot... anne

It's hard to have 100% perfect pronunciation. Know what's funny.. the word pronunciation, most people say it as "proNOUNciation" when it really should be said just like it's spelled, "proNUNciation". Heh! Anyway, I'm Hispanic but I live in the US, and I still have issues pronouncing at times.. and I'm exposed to the American accent every day! I've learned that you don't have to learn how to speak like Americans do, it's okay to have an accent. All the English speaking nations have their own accents (the UK, Australia, etc) so it's natural and I'm sure it's very pretty! It's what distinguishes us, after all. ;)
