So what does everyone think of Dale Earnhardt Jr's decision to go with Hendricks Motorsports next year? I watched the press conference earlier and from what they said, it seems like it will do nothing but good things for both of them. I've never been a fan of Dale Jr. I love Gordon and in my opinion, it's hard to be fans of both. I felt so bad for Jr though. He deserves a bigger part in DEI than he has had. I believe that this will be a good thing for all parties involved. What do you think?

Yes I agree Dale did deserve a bigger part of DEI than he had, with that said Im not a Gorden or Johnson fan so I really didnt want JR. to go to Hendrick, but it looks like it may be whats best for him all around.Im just wondering who will get the bump as you can only have 4 drivers and he already had all 4 so to make room someone has to get the shift. All in all im waiting to see how JR. Gorden and Johnson all get along being same team members next year.

Well Busch is getting out of his contract with Hendricks at the end of the season and going somewhere else. He doesn't know where yet. So Dale Jr will either be in the 5 car or he'll take the 25 and Mears will go to the 5 car. They haven't worked out that detail yet. He really wants to stay in the 8 car but they have to discuss that with Teresa and see if that's even a possibility for him to take that number with him. The other things that they don't have worked out is what his sponsors will be. They haven't discussed if Bud will go with him or if they will keep the sponsors they have. They are hoping that all will be worked out within the next couple of months. As for Dale Jr, Gordon and Johnson getting along. I think they will be competitive but that's to be expected with such great drivers. But they are all great friends. Dale Sr was Gordon's mentor. Gordon has helped Dale Jr out with his career. Dale Jr and Gordon both helped Johnson out when he first got started. So I think that they will all mesh well together. Hendricks is already the team to beat. Now they have the most popular driver too.

I hope it works out for him, but I am not sure how he will get along with Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson. He has such a different personality. Although, they do say opposites attract. I am glad that he ended up with Mountain Dew as a sponsor, if he couldn't stick with Bud, that was a good choice for an alternative.
