Glastonbury Festival  | |  Any of you going to the Glastonbury Festival this year?
I hope you're only going if you have a ticket because if you don't have one I'll be working as security there and I'll be on the lookout for you trying to sneak in;-)
Anyone in particular that you want to see?

 MarkyB21 (706) | 3 years ago | It's quite a big UK event but I don't suppose many people from the US attend.
It's near Glastonbury in Somerset. It's in an area known as the Vale of Avalon which is where King Arthur is supposed to have been buried.
All tickets will have been sold out within a few hours of going on sale (over 150,000 of them) so I'm afraid you couldn't go even if you wanted to;-)
Some of the bands playing there this year include: Arctic Monkeys, Paul Weller, Lily Allen, The Who, Manic Street Preachers and loads more (I think Shirley Bassey is going to be there this year too).
Loads of people who don't get tickets try to sneak in each year - a few get in but most get caught. Theres a massive fence all the way round the site (about an eight mile perimeter!) which I wouldn't want to try climbing.
Finally, I have no idea how much a ticket is as I've never bought one - this will be my third time at the festival but I've always been there for work. | |

How has the weather been during the event in years past?

Other than that it tends to be good weather but this year it's a couple of months early so we'll just have to see how it turns out. | |
