Do you think Isaiah Washington (Grey's Anatomy) should have been fired sooner? Do you think he was unfairly fired? What's your view?

as far as my limited reading is concerned :), isaiah had made moves for retribution asking for apologies here and there. i think he has enough loads of criticisms already for the actions that he had done and that he's working hard to redeem his reduced public image. i believe in giving chances, and the producers of the show should have given him his fair chance considering the contribution he gave to the show. i like his character there, very strong, focused, willful, passionate in his profession. it would be quite different and sad with burke out of seattle grace hospital.

That was my point exactly! Hasn't he done enough to be forgiven? People do say things in anger that they really shouldn't. And, maybe if I had been there and heard the comment myself, then I would be more stubborn when it comes to forgive and forget. But, as is, he has done a lot to let everyone know that he knows he made a mistake. People should just let it go. Then again, he did say a pretty hurtful thing against another human being. And, that's not a good thing, either. If the producers didn't fire him, they'd be sending a bad message to other actors that it's OK to verbally harass another cast mate and then slide out of it by apologizing. Two sides to this story. No easy answers. Words are cheap, cheap, cheap! Let's hope he's really sorry.
