The superb acting talent on the show won the emmy. The writing was quite bad last year and continues to get worse this year and it used to be the best written show. Somehow the actors managed to save the day, but how long can they do that? Opinions?

This has been my favorite since inception, I have always loved it, the characters mostly, but I have always loved the storylines. Now that Melody Thomas Scott's husband has left as head writer I am interested in seeing how the storylines go.

I think the storylines already need improvement. The Reliquary was just a take off on an old Cary Grant movie. Nick in a plane crash has already been done with Victor. And, unfortunately they refuse to make Victoria into a strong character; it seems like they are now but she will probably just end up being under the power of another man.

I liked Heather Tom better as Victoria then Amelia (I believe that is her name) playing her, although I think she does a good job she does not have the toughness that the other Victoria had. I will say do I like her with J.T. better than Brad, I always thought Brad was a player and now it just proved it.

I prefer Amelia Heinle as Victoria. She can be tough when the writers allow it which they seldom do. She shows it in the few scenes where they allow her to stand up to Brad or Nikki. Yet she shows a funny side as with Nick. I think she is quite capable of presenting a more complex character than Heather if the writers would just write better.

This is the only soap that I really stay interested in. I do watch Bold and Beautiful but I follow Y&R I am glad that they won and I think that the storylines are getting to be better than a few months ago.
