Henry Rollins: Rock Star or Spoken Word Icon?

Which Henry are you into? The loud, screaming and barefoot rock icon or the slightly mild mannered and mellow spoken word legend? I have been lucky enough to see him perform both on stage with The Rollins Band and when he was on tour doing spoken word. I have a hard time picking which I enjoyed more .. but if I had to, I'd have to go with the spoken word.

I prefer the loud, screaming Henry Rollins myself. But I do have a CD of his "Get On the Bus, Henry" spoken word and it is great. There is a movie on the history of American Punk that interviews Rollins and how he got into music. It is actually quite funny. He requested a song to be done before he had to leave for work and the guys called him up on stage to sing it himself. LOL

If you want to check out one of his best spoken word pieces, get "Eric The Pilot". I can listen to that over and over and still fall off my chair laughing.
