I have a hoarse, deep, raspy voice. It is easily mistaken for a man on the telephone. I guess the kindest term for it would be throaty or husky. I can change registers up and down though, maybe because of singing lessons when I was a child, as well as being able to really boom from my diaghram. It scares the gollies out of my kids when I do it and it is really funny.

i think most people do shout when quite necessary, i shout too when i am angry and affected, i think shouting helps you to be relieved, right!?, but maybe you may shout inside a room and i think it is quite embarrassing if you shout in the crowd, thanks..!!^^good!!^^, sorry for a very late response..!!^^

People say I am "Loud and clear"...! I prefer to be clear ..loudness is not necessary..!! But what I belive is those people who fear from getting unheard tends to talk loudly cause they fear that nobody is listening to them ..!! And I must tell you that people "listen" to or "hear" you is a kind of art...! And not every body can master it some are born with it and rest of us can learn it...!! So those people who don't fear from getting unheard have no problem in being soft voiced..!!

wow, that is a very nice idea, you have come up with a hypothesis, that when a person is loud he fears that no one is listening, or no one has his attention to him, that's nice. Yah and vice versa and those who have people tend to listen to him even he has low voice he is still happy and not feared, that is nice. Soft and loud voice can be an art too, literally, maybe too, for instance in dramas or even singing, thanks..good!!^^

wow, that's nice, maybe you are really friendly in nature, but you know i think being loud sometime when you have prblem can help!!^^, but talking or sharing you problems to others may help you ease the pain too, Yeah, you can share with the problems with other people and be their friends because somewhat people with soft voice tends to listen than to speak, thanks good!!^^

My normal voice tone is neither loud or soft. However, I've been told I am loud when on the phone - I have no idea why that is. During normal face to face conversations I don't strain or hurt ears but if I use my normal voice volume the person at the other end can't hear me and when I speak up so they can everyone else in the office can hear me.

oh, that's strange have you tried to ask them, maybe when you are on phone your mouth is so near, so that making your voice loud, but you know that you don't hurt ears when you are having conversation, thanks, good!!^^sorry..my reply is just now, i thought i have answered this discussion already, i am just waiting for your reply, thanks again..!!^^

I am actually a soft voice person I believe. I don't like raising my voice high and some times I am asked to say things again by people because they did not hear it the first time. There are some people who really speak very loudly all the time and I just wonder how they do it. May be it is a genetic thing.

maybe so, it has to do with the genes of our parents, so yu tend to speak loud, oh not, so maybe it is better if you will get close to that person so he/she can hear you, ")lol, and so my kids i think has loud voices - maybe in their father's side, thanks..good!!^^

I'm quite confident in company so normally, I would speak quite loudly but if I were talking of a confidential matter, then I'm quite able to lower my voice, according to how the situation dictates. I live in a small village and rumours start very quickly. In normal cases, that doesn't worry me, but naturally, if you don't want something to spread like a forest fire, then you keep a conversation more quiet and private. lol. Brightest Blessings.

yeah, i hate making rumors about me but i cannot stop it, but all are not true, but still i get irritated.. other people have this mentality that when you have been in a rumor, probably it is true, but it's not.. yeah, so i try to make my voice lower when having some private talks cause walls even have ears..thanks...good!!^^, sorry for very late reply...

I am soft voice..!! Honestly people really like my voice, once I even got an appointment for a radio jockey but because of my studies I failed to join that..! BUt one problem is that I speak really fastly that I often end up repeating things over and over again..!! Else I have normal voice. Sweet but not that low...I make it sure that every body hears me easliy..! :)

I almost always have a soft voice, and sometimes people have asked me to speak up. When I was younger I was terribly quiet when I spoke, but now I think the volume of my voice is normal. I will speak up though when my dad is around because he has a burst eardrum in one ear and cannot hear too great. I do the same when other people with hearing issues are around me.

I am quiet to a point. But in a normal conversation no one asks me to speak up. I'm pretty well heard. My dad had an ear infection as a teenager and his dad couldn't afford to take him to the doctor, so he told my dad to tough it out. Well, the infection got so bad that it burst his eardrum and he ended up being hospitalized anyway. Makes me sad to think about it.

oh, that is bad, so now try to make medical check ups often, maybe it is better if you will be with your dad often, or maybe someone so he'll not feel the pain much, thanks, good!!^^I am with you")

I have a deep voice, which makes me feel as if it is booming and loud and disruptive - though others have said I have a soothing and matronly voice. I don't know. But, I think for as booming as my voice can be, my heart can be equally as soft.

I've always been real real quiet, though I have gotten a bit louder in recent years. It's bad to the point where my boss has actually brought it up multiple times. I'm in sales, so it helps if you're a little louder. I do try, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm not a large person anyway, so anytime I do speak up, my voice hits anything and everything near my level. It's horrible. Blessed Be

Hi, I always used to talk slowly. Not whispering but I used to talk with low tone. My husband also speaks slowly. But if he gets angry then he used to shout at himself. Now I am living in my aunt's house. My aunt and uncle always shout among them each other. They always used to scold which I dont like in the high pitch so that everybody in thri neighbourhood can talk about them.

oh, that's true having loud people with you is really a problem cause for the very simple reason that neighboring people always have opinions and they are always having rumors which aren't right, oh, that's a problem, but it's better if you'll just ignore those, right, just try to talk to them in low voice and ask them to lower their voices, thanks..good!!!^^, sorry for the late reply, thanks!!^^
