Air conditioning.....

wish that we did...we live in the Ozarks, very hot and humid climate - with a long duration to the hot months. but, our house is in such disrepair as it is that I can not even think about installing central air until other matters are tended to first. (I may think, however, about a window type unit only the windows in the living room would not accomodate, the only windows that would work are in the kids rooms and that would not help matters in the rest of the house any)

maybe I should look into a dehumidifier if nothing else.

No airconditioning here. We really do not need one either. It is rarely that hot here - and our home is well insulated and does not get hot easily

We do not have air conditioning. We are in a new house for us and it is kind of nice. However the kitchen tends to be on the really warm side. We run the ceiling fan and all the windows are open. Most of the house is quite nice and the breezes come through great! We also can move out onto the porch since it is always shady and cool there. I like the warmth of the summer and I do get the chance for air conditioning while working. That is enough for me.

We have central air and we usually have it set on 72, I've tried setting it up to 74 but it gets to hot.

Yes we do have an air conditioner but we are so blessed. Our apartment complex is only a block away from the river. Plus a nice thing about Reno is that every afternoon the winds come up. Our apartment stays so cool. Plus all of my windows face north and south so there is never any sun shining in our aparment.

I never had my A/C any lower than 78F. Today is bumped it up to 80F and it still ran all day. The feel like temperture putside is at 94F.

Yes we have a great air conditioner We do not leave it at a constant temp but adjust it according to the day It is a life safer let me tell you that Good Luck and Stay Cool

Yup....In our place you have to have one because of the tropical heat...

We have air conditioning that most people dont have any idea what it is. Its called swamp coolers. Basically just a big squirel cage with a water reservue. The water is pumped thru pads in the cooling unit and the squirel cage rotates and passes the air thru the pads. In our very dry climate they work great. Not much good when the humidity goes up though.

Our air conditioner went out 3 months ago and we kept having people look at it, always a different story with cost and what was wrong with it that we have been melting in our house that we finally broke down and got a window unit for our bedroom, gosh that was nice, but then I never came out of the bedroom, ever ... (I live in Texas, you know) but this past weekend we had a whole new unit put in, the house is cool and I am able to cook dinner again, woooo hooo
