Air conditioning.....  |

 Do you have air conditioning in your home? What temperature do you usually have it set on? We use to have window units in our house, but 2 summers ago we had Central Air installed. We usually have it set at 74 degrees. But I'm one of those people who always have cold feet. So I'm usually walking around the house with no shoes on but socks on my feet.

81.  Sacrificialclam (4467) | 3 years ago |  I have to have AC in my home. I live in the south and it gets very hot during the summer. It costs me a fortune to keep my house cool, but I'd rather do that than sweat it out at night. I keep the thermostat on 74 if I'm not home and around 70 when I am and especially at night when I sleep.

82.  mamasan34 (4100) | 3 years ago |  I do have central heat and air. I usually keep it at 72 degrees. In the past, I have lived in homes where we had window units and we tried to keep it at 75. I am hot blooded and my family is not, they usually have their slippers on and wearing blankets lol, they look like silly eskimo's.

I am from India and you are well aware about the temperature in India during peak summer season, it is horrible and unbearable . In our place where we are residing in industrial belt and during May June temp. goes upto 49 to 51 degree C. We start our AC from the month of March latest by April 1st week. In March & April I use to set it 24 degree C and during May June I set the temp knob to 18 degree C.

I have air conditioners at home, in the bedrooms and the livingroom. Usually I won't set the very cold temperature. It wastes the eletricity cost and it won't be so healthy. When you go out and it's so hot outside, you will feel very uncomfortable and perhaps you will catch a cold due to it.
In the bedrooms I usually set 24 degrees. In the livingroom it'll be about 25-28 degrees.
