If you and your spouse/partner...........

me and my bf just broke up after almost 2 years. The apartment is mine and i did offer him to stay until he found something of his own (i´s move to my moms house) but he declined and moved to his uncle instead. I guess he also felt it would be hard to be among all the memories that we have shared there =(

I think if we broke up I would find a new place asap or he would but I doubt either of us would be kicked out as it is both of ours place. Hopefully I will never have to find out.

I'd have to agree with everyone else in saying that it depends on why we split up. I hope to never find out. If it were just because we have grown apart and we are both in agreement, then I would definitely let them stay. I might even let him stay if it were due to cheating as this house is both of ours, not mine to kick him out of. It really would depend on all the circumstances.

it depends why we were splitting up. If I caught him cheating on me it would be safer for him to move out as soon as we split but if its for other reasons I would let him sleep on the sofa until he found a place to live.
