What is your favorite tarot deck?

My favorite deck to read from (*gasp*) is the Crowley deck; it has astrological data so if you know THAT you know the cards. My other favorite deck is the Morgan Tarot - which is silly and fun and wonderful. It has cards like "Pig and Fishes Surround You", and "I think I'll make a Buddha". I love that deck because it jolts people out of their customary method of reading, and back into being in the now, seeing what is there, rather than what we think we know. I don't have a favorite as far as design, really. When I want to get down to the "nitty gritty" I use a regular deck of playing cards, as they are what I was first taught to read from.

My personal favorite is the Tarot of the Origins deck. It has very raw, powerful images and I can read the feel so much easier. Plus I just love non-traditional decks.

I have two decks of tarot cards: the Mage the Ascension (White Wolf) deck and the Vertigo DC deck. The first is related to a roleplaying game, while the second is related to a comic book company. I really like the Mage deck, because I have had a lot of experience working with it, and the images on the cards are very evocative. I really dislike the Vertigo deck, because although the images are wonderful, there is just way too much going on in each one for me to be able to focus on the meaning. Those are really the only tarot decks that I've dealt with much at all. I tend to not like the more traditional decks, because I like decks that use more imaginative imagery than the standard, traditional imagery.

My favourite and if I'm doing serious stuff then its the Crowley deck because it contains so much information not just the usual tarot symbols but astrological and magical, altho these days I use runes more. For other people and quick readings I use the Aquarian deck as it is a lot easier to shuffle, I really like the artwork and it the easiest deck I've found to get a reading from.
