Have you ever been to Dunn's River Falls

I was at Dunn's River Falls in 1998. It was an amazing thing to see. My husband and I didn't climb the falls, though. Our friends who were sith us did, and really enjoyed it, although they said it was cold!

My husband and I were content just taking in the beautiful scenery. We had a local that we had been hanging around with in Montego Bay take us there, and he was also very helpful getting us through the shop area that you have to go through to exit the falls. (There was one extremely large woman who blocked our way and said "Come see my shop!" in a way that we would have had to go if it had not been for Richard!)

I would love to go back and see more of not only the Dunn's River area, but also Runaway Bay, and of course Montego Bay. We were only in Jamaica a week, and it was not nearly enough!

I was there in -99 and climbed the falls. It was a very exciting experience, so if you get the chance you really should climb them! The water is a lot colder than expected, and some of the rocks on the way up can be slippery, but all in all it's a great mini-adventure.

I have been to Jamaica a few times in my life but only once did I go to Dunn's..I was 11 at the time and absolutely LOVED IT....However I'm not sure if its a different experience to now seeing how that was a long time ago LOL (I'm almost 37)....on our next trip to JA I'd love to take my kids there and my husband since on the trips we've taken there we've not had the chance to get out to Ocho:-(

Yes, I have been to Dunn's River Falls. I went in 2005. I went out to Jamaica to get married and whilst there had a trip to the falls. Most of our group (12 of us) climbed the falls and it was an experience not to be missed. The water was warm which really helped. Everyone had to hold hands and go the way the guide took us, and help each other on the way! Each one of us said we would do it again given the chance. However, after we had climbed it we learnt that the previous day one of the guides had died on the falls after a fall. It was a good job we hadn't been told before we climbed it! This has not put me off though and would go again if I visited Jamaica again.

hi all, a was there in march 2002, for two weeks best trip i have had, loved the dunns river falls and just as the name says i di fall luckyily i dident brake anything but i did loose my hat i had hagled for was feeling cool one minute the next on my but lol, but loved evey minute i was ther and was in kingston march 2007, cant stay away love the island

Dunn's River Falls is really cool. I went on a cruise 3 years ago and that was one of the stops. The really neat thing about the whole thing is that you have a choice of being in the water or along side of it on the walking path. There is a guide that is in the water with you. There is a group of people all going at the same time. You create a human chain while in the water because the rocks are sharp and/or slippery. The tour guide that is in the water holds the cameras for you and will take pictures periodically through the walk. The water is a little cold, but it is so much fun that you really are not bothered by it.
