After our son died people started telling us we needed to get a pet. DH didn't like cats but a dog was out bc we couldn't walk it. So we started looking for 2 kittens. We ended up with our two fuzzy childern Bubba & Stripe. DH picked out Stripe, she is a black & white short hair. I picked Bubba, he is a yellow long hair. They are so sweet and they make us smile & laugh no matter how sad we are. DH calls himself Daddy when he talkes to them. And I'm the Momma Kitty or Nunu. I laugh at DH too bc he can't remember that he didn't like cats before. LOL Our cats were resqued from a bad home. Tell me about your cats. How did you get them?

My cats are my babies.

First there is Bixby. My black rat(he is a cat we just call him that). He is my baby. My husband and I adopted him from the humane society as my daughters Christmas present, we were in a car accident 2 days before christmas(i was driving and thus stiff sore and tired) so my husband went and picked him up and he was still under anestisia(sp) from being nuetered when my hubby laid him in bed with me. He sleeps in bed every night now... I don't think he realizes he is a cat I think he believes himself to be human.. But he is my baby.

Then there is Princess. We were at pesmart when we took her in. She was in a cage and not liking it. I walked up and she had cut her nose o shreds trying to get out of the cage.. she looked malnourished, and barely looked like her breed (silver siamese) she was screaming.. Help. Yes she talks its great. I took my husband to the side and told him I wouldn't leave her. He agreed. After paying the fees for her we tok her home.. Where within 2 weeks she looked well fed, and thanks to neosporin her nose healed nicely. She is a twit though. you don't just touch her.. you have to ask for permision first.. and if she sas no she will make you regret touching her...But on the flip side she will drive ou nuts if she wants to be touched and you ignore her. Including grabbing your arm with both paws and rubbing her face on your hand until she has had enough. She likes to go outside but will not leave the driveway in the front or the fenced perimeter of the back. (her words include, Momma, dad, no, yes, help, let in/out, stop, food, thanks and we are working on please.)

then there is my Yankee kitty Max. He was my mom, who brought him down to live with my uncle years ago. my uncle moved out of town when he got maried. and i took over his house payment. He took the cat but then his wife didn't like that he didn't wipe his feet when he came in from outside (??) or whatever else she could come up with... but either way he brought him back to me. He drools when you love on him.. and he acts lke such a baby but is built like a tank.. thick muscular tom cat is exactly what he is. when my husband comes hom he storms the door for my husband to cradle him and pet him for hours before my hubby can do anything else.

Theres my babies!!
Oh and I also have my dads dog.. he is a huge thing.. golden retriever/ yellow lab mix.. weighs about 110 lbs. He was my dads but my dad died in November and my mom had to bring him to me because she is losing the house and can't keep him... He also gets excited when my hubby gets home at the end of every week and will either knock the gate open or the back door to get to him. Buddy is a great dog though very obedient.

LOL It sounds like you have a very fun house. Cat's can be so standoffish one min. & so needy the next. I'm so glad God gave us the two we have. I just looked up from my PC and there was Stripe laying on the island watching my every move. LOL She is my fat girl. If I do something in the kitchen she is right there to see if she wants some.

I used to have a cat, he was a orange short haired tabby, and we found him. He was just a kitten and me and my husband were walking in a park and he just ran up and jumped in my arms. Like he chose us. :) I liked that cat, to a certain point. He refused to potty train and we lived in an apartment. We had to keep him in the bathroom and he tore it up. He scratched everything from our couches to our walls and peed on everything even our bed! We could barely afford to feed him let alone ourselves, so we decided that it was best to let him go. We took him to a shelter for animals in Dallas that does not kill them. They said even if he was going to be there his whole life, he would be there until he got adopted. Well he has a loving family now and I am happy for him.

OMG and it is so hard to get the smell out. LOL Some animals are like that. We had a dog once, his name was Bear. I would take him out for a walk then as soon as we went in the house he would pee on my houseplants. Gross. We gave him back. LOL
