Posting on Mylot is the most typing that I have ever done in my life. I just learned to type in 2002. I have always wanted to learn and love doing it. But now I am having pains in my left wrist. I am left handed, so of course I use this hand the most. Any advice on how to prevent it?

Have you tried holding you wrists at an even angle with your keyboard with your fingers pointing down, or a wrist brace? I have had several friends with carpal tunnel and they say it really hurts. I am lucky I have not expirenced it I have had everything else in the world, I am exaggerating.
Goof luck

I've been told that vitiam B works wonders. I have yet to try it and I am developing carpel in both my wrists as well, mostly in my right though since thats is my dominant hand. I also have a wrist brace I wear occasionaly, but not as often as I should.

Yes, I have been thinking about getting wrists braces, but I was not sure whether or not they would be effective. I had never heard about the vitamin B, I will have to put that on the list of things to ask my doctor about. Thank you so much for your information.

You can get wrist braces to wear when using the computer that can prevent carpal tunnel. I don't really get carpal tunnel from typing. I get it in my right hand though when I'm using the mouse a lot. (I'm right handed) Also having better posture is a good way to prevent carpel tunnel as well, but it is hard to keep the correct posture though. That's why wrist braces are so good, because they will force your wrists and hands into a posture that will prevent carpel tunnel from happening.
