How do you greet other people? Handshake - namaste - salaam - bear hug?

Each community has a different way of greeting, we all express our happiness when we meet others. Personally I like namste (Indian way) that salutes the God within others. But for very close friends I like to squeeze their hands or hug them, depending on the relationship. What is your favorite way of greeting?

Well, like you greetings depends on the closeness/rewlationship. If its a close friend, then hugs and kisses are for them asking them "kumusta?" (how are you?. For an aqcuintance, a simple smile is enough.

yes I did not include touching our elders feet (pranam)and kissing the young ones on forehead or cheek. our way of greeting describes our relationship with them.
