Please be aware, that many cases of horrible pain have been reported by accidents to our loving pets from the paper shredder. If their tail or tongue goes in, you will see more blood, and hear such screaching, you will have nightmares. Please, please, please, shut the switch off, and pull out the plug when you are not using it. Our pets need our protection.

I'm glad your friend had enough knowledge and sence to do this. It is so dangerous. I have two cats, and you have to watch them like babies, so they don't hurt themselves.

That is a very good point, especially if the shredder is big enough for their tail or tongue to fit in the slot. I do not have any pets so I do not have anything to worry about here unless my roommate gets nosey and puts his face in there. LOL I would hate to see any pet get hurt or killed because of getting into the shredder. I always turn my shredder off when I am not using it to be safe and to conserve energy.
