Do you prefer a bagel, plain bread, or an english muffin?

Butter is the next best thing to bread. Bread and butter go together like mac and cheese. I'm with you 100% I love bread and butter what would we do without it, ya now.

I would rather have real butter on an English muffin. However I am stuck with margarine because my husband think's it's healthier so the only time I get butter is when there is a sale. I like cream cheese on bagels though.

well, since the day they reported 'somewhere" that margarine is equally as bad as butter, I prefer the real stuff. I was raised on margarine, and you know? I ate that stuff everyday. now I do the butter thing once in awhile, because I am getting the real stuff. it tastes better, and has become a treat! besides, I was tired of finding margarine with 75% vegetable oil, which separates when you pop it in the microwave, and then you find out the rest is water. ew. not good on popcorn, makes it shrink, and soggy.

ooooohh, you're detailed knowledge of margarine is quite impressive. You are absolutely right about what the stuff is made of. Go on....read the ingredients and you'll see that most of the stuff you can hardly read! I, too, was raised on margarine but as soon as I discovered butter, I changed.

I prefer plain wheat bread and yes, real butter but I try to eat as little of it as possible because of high cholesterol. I like english muffins as well especially if freshly baked. Yummy bread and butter or, if it's available, peanut butter!

I'd have to go with a bagel; our local grocery store has them on sale once a week. When they are on sale they are 4 for $1.00, any other time during the week they are .59 cents. They have a lot of different flavors but I usually stick with plain, egg or onion. Real butter is the way to go ... toast the bagel, lay on the butter and enjoy.

I am definitely a bagel person. I love just a plain bagel with lots and lots of cream cheese on it. That just sounds so good!!!

This one's a toss-up between the English muffin and the bagel. Ok, I've made up my mind...it's the English muffin. AND, I like them absolutely DRIPPING with butter, yes - real butter! There's just nothing like it. I'm starting to salivate.....

i like bagel with butter or a dash of garlic powder and toasted or with cream cheese vegetable or sometimes i can use spaghetti sauce as a spread then topped with shredded mozzarella cheese and ham as a homemade style pizza....so great when serve directly from oven.
english muffin with scrambled egg in butter with onions and tomato chunckies.
loaf or plain bread into ham and cheese sandwich or clubhouse.

I like both the bagel and the english muffin. Both are so good. I tend to eat more bagels then english muffins though. I like mine toasted with herb and garlic cream cheese on them. If i butter something, then yes it has to be REAL butter. I love butter. And i love cream cheese. Butter on english muffin for sure, and while we're at it lets slap an egg and some bacon on there too! lol. Mm that's the stuff. I make myself hungry answering these darn food discussions!

I like plain bread.I only "butter" it when I am making Cinnamon Toast. I use margarine.

I prefer a bagel. I love real butter but cant afford to buy it very often. When it is on sale I will buy it and stock up...

I like bagels with cream cheese, and I prefer to have bagels that aren't plain. I like cinnamon raisin and dutch apple bagels, among other flavors.
If I'm having bread, I usually make it toast, and put margarine and jelly on it.
English muffins are something that I like sometimes, and can't stand other times. I think it depends on how much of that gritty stuff they have on them. I don't like much of the gritty stuff.

i am going to be difficult and say none of the above. I would much rather have an english crumpet. toasted in the oven. and with butter on top. oozing through to the little holes on top. i love crumpets!!!!

I like all three. Margarine is what I like. I didnet grow up on butter, so it taste funny to me.

I like the bagel and I love real butter, on bread and veges... Never margerine it has a fake taste to it and makes everything else taste different too...
