How do you find Hongkong?  |

 Hongkong for me the first time I went there was just another tourist haven which I didn't appreciate much because the people don't speak English and we don't seem to understand each other very much. But when I come back lately for a series of work assignments, I learned to appreciate and take a good look around what Hongkong really is for me. I can always claim that Hongkong feels like a second home for me simply because my father is a Chinese, who, I don't really know his roots and where they came from. If only he's alive today, then I would surely take him there and move all things possible to locate his origins since I feel so attached to the place. My work assignment gave me the chance to really explore the good and bad side of Hongkong. But still everything for me looks good and I know that I can live there on my own given the chance. Who knows, i will make Hongkong my retirement country. But i still love the Philippines where I grew up and spent most of my youthful days until this time.

I'll try my best to travel again and taste the good life and clean living. Its fast-paced life is quite exciting. Makes me more alive and abreast with the latest things specially in techno. My sons will love to live in Hongkong. Given another chance, I will prefer to stay and work there for good. | |

Neverless, HongKong is really well develop with all those huge building! i lost my way many times there (all the building looks alike!). i think Hong Kong is for business people mostly. For me Shanghai is certainly the best part of China. | |

| sytiburcio (7) | 3 years ago | I agree with you on that issue! the tour guide is rude when i went there the first time in 2000 so I said im not going back there! However, a work assignment came and I have no choice but go back to HK. That's when I appreciated the place and everything around it. Even if the food is expensive, you can always prepare home-cooked meals which is cheaper. And for the fashion conscious ladies, Hongkong is the place to be! You just have to know where the bargains are! | |

It's not the people but the place that i appreciate most. Although we cannot be judgmental of the place simply because you said its a chinese place which i disagree. It's a multicultural place already and let me remind you that it used to be a british colony for a long time. By now, they're independently and doing good on their own, thanks to the Britons and they have somehow adapted some of the cultures and practices of their English counterpart. | |

| myownswordsman (80) | 3 years ago |  wow~ i once had a completed feeling about HK,it made me felt sad and humiliational that British had snatched Hongkong from China for more than 100 year till its returning at 1997!it also made me surprised that Hongkong has been one of most important and flourishing cities of Asia under British governing~i really dont know how to judge British governing on HK properly, but the fact is that UK was invador who had snatched HK away ...
now, people of HK are governing HK by theirselves,i do believe HK has a better and better future!
