This is not a rainy season in chennai-India.Sometimes it rains one or two days slightly. The rain water is logged on road and the vehicles flash the rain water on people who are moving.people who move on the road get wets with muddy water. Electricity board dig pits on road side for their work but never in the habit of cover the pits. The corporatation on the other hand also dig pits for their work but never fill up those pits. Personally i found very difficult to reach the bus terminus from my home for the past 3 days where it rained very less. The roads with the muddy water making people walking on these miserable. During rainy days these pits are dangers for the pedestrians. No one claims responsible for this unattended pits? share your experiance and views..

I live in Mumbai & here it is a serious problem.Even a day of rain is enough to make the roads worst. What is adding to this problem is there is no open land.everywhere what we see is just buildings .So there is no place of water to go.And also the big huts over the nullhas.Tha drains are cholked with wastes & plastics. All this collectively leads to water logging.

I live in Pune and we have the same story too. I have lived in Meerut and Delhi too and the roads were as bad as anywhere. In Pune surprisingly, they have mainholes right in the middle of the raod and sometimes they have been not brought up to the level of the road which has been raised so you haev a covered mainhole pit right in the middle of the road there is one on gurdwara road and one in the middle of M. G. road . If you are new to the city and drive a two wheeler like me be careful. A week back I could have just skidded trying to prevent from landing in to one. I am sick of these roads but there seems to be no solution atleast with any municipal corporation in India for this problem.

Suba, you are absolutely right...water logging is one of the major problems in the metros. I also find it very disgusting...during rainy season. Because it becomes very difficult to drive your own vehcile...during water logging. But authorities are least bothered about our state of affairs.

Yes friend, you are right but what to do if the corporation dont work what we can do.I stay in WestBengal, can you imagine what problem we face?Exams are going in all schools and collages and all the roads are water logged and many manholes are open any time an accident can take place. But our goverment dont bother for it,they are just stay cool.
