i have been signed up to ebay for ages but was too scared to use it... until thursday last week, i discovered they used paypal, so i got bidding, i bidded on 3 items and 2 of which i have won and have paid for.
I recieved a message off the seller saying she had sent one of my items - quite fast.
I am hoping to sell some make up items on there next week, hopefully i will have no problems.
I really do hope the items come. I have decided to get a new hobby all thenks to ebay im going to start collecting vintage mirror compacts - i bidded on 2 already for 3.60 (GBP)with 1.80 P&P, i think i have a bargain.

i really hope my items do come - im looking forward to it -

1. The signup process is not complicated. Basically, it's just your name, address, phone number, email address, and date of birth.

2. To be a seller, you will need to input your credit card or debit card.

3. Depending on what you sell, the fees vary. To start a listing at 99 cents or under will cost you 20 cents to list. If you want to add a gallery picture, that's an additional 35 cents. There are also other extras, but you don't need them.

4. The main things to do before you start selling are: A)take the selling tutorial on Ebay, peruse the discussion boards and eBay blogs. I am a frequent participant on the blogs over there. You will find many nice bloggers on there who are more than willing to help a newbie seller. You many even run into me over there. B) Research, research, research!! See if the item you want to sell is on the completed listings. If you want to see if a certain Disney VHS is a hot item, type in the name of the Disney movie in the search field, and hit search. A list of all current listings with that movie will pop up. Go to the left side of the screen and scroll down until you see completed listings. Checkmark completed listings and scroll down and hit search. A list of all completed listings with that movie will show up.

**Important note....you can't search completed listings until you signed up. You have to have your account activated already.


5. If you have something to sell that you want to show more than 1 picture of, you would be wise to sign up with Auctiva. If you list through eBay, only the first picture is free, and it's 15 cents per additional picture. On Auctiva, you can insert up to 15 pictures for free. But you would still have to pay for gallery picture if you choose that.

The sign up process if very quick and easy and free to join. The charge for using is a charge for each item you list for auction. Then there is final fee when you sell your item. My personal experience has been very positive. I have been selling on eBay for about 3 years. Check out site: http://stores.ebay.com/Dream-Doll-Boutique. As far as the items you are looking to sell you need to search on ebay and see if anyone else is selling items like these and what they are selling for. That way you can determine whether it is worth it or not to sell yours. Besides the household items, do you make anything that you could sell. There is definitely money to be made on ebay. Sign up and check it out.

I am an Ebay store owner. I have sold for a while. Some things go well and others do not and you can hardly tell when what will go. You can just try and then get the word out. I also belong to a couple of groups on Ebay that share their wares. Tis a good thing.
Most of listing items is click and fill in. The fees come when you list things. Only 2 cents in a store and that is why I have one. Of course a montly store fee also. Currently what I do online pays for what I do online so it is not a problem. You would hope to sell enough to pay for fees and also allow you to shop. I have found many a deal on Ebay, patience is a virture for sure.
Books would be best listed on Half.com a part of Ebay. Then you only pay when one sells and they deposit straight into your bank account.

The sign up is pretty easy, but I think you do need a credit card, like someone said. I signed up 8 or 9 years ago, so I can't remember what I did.

There are various fees for listing depending on how much you want to start your auction at. If someone wins your auction, there are also final value fees, which usually aren't much of a problem.

I haven't had a ton of experiences, but it's mostly been positive. I worry a lot about the feedback and try to do everything I can to make the customer happy. But, that's the same with any business.

I'm not sure about ice skates, but VHS tapes may or may not sell. Most people want DVDs.

Make sure you are as professional as possible with your listings and how you ship your items. Get delivery confirmation on every shipment. It can save you problems in the end.

The process is easy to get on. The selling fees are not bad unless you sell too cheap.

You also have to make sure you don't lose any money when you ship the items.

But you can sell near anything on eBay.

Some buyers are real pills but you get them everywhere and I think overall the experiance is good.

At least as good as a garage sale, without having to babysit a table all day long for nothing.

i cnt use ebay coz cnt buy anythin frm so far i am..

I love ebay but have never sold anything , I have only bought some items . The sign up process was not hard but I don't remember what it entails anymore as it was so long ago that I did it . I have never been charged anything to use ebay before , only have to pay the cost of the item that I am purchasing and the shipping costs which is different for everyone so you have to check all this out ahead of time or you could end up paying more for the shipping then the item is worth .

I don't ebay.

For the reasons below;

*I don't respect ebay's policy regarding scammers, call the police. (hello, they won't do anything)

*I wouldn't buy anything without knowing for sure I'd get it.
