Will Hendricks Make Junior A Winner?

When I became an avid watcher of NASCAR racers, Dale Jr became my immediate favorite driver.

Did you know that for all the NASCAR memorabilia sold that Dale Jr sells the most?

It is my personal feeling that the #8 car is the best looking car on the track.

Do you know why that Dale Jr wants to take #8 with him to the Hendricks team? Dale Jr's grandfather drove cars with #8 in his racing days.

Now that Dale Jr does not have the weight of a decision to be made hanging over his head, he can focus on his driving and work towards winning a championship.

He will always be my favorite driver...

My husband and I too started out as a #3 fan, and will always be in our hearts. Of course JR does not drive like his dad he is not his dad. Are you 100% your father? Everyone is unique. I wish him the best and hope that he does well. Everyone that I have ever talked to even non jr fans think he is a good driver. I hope you are wrong in all that you are saying.

Jr is already a winner, he is just in a bit of a rut right now, but I do believe that he will bounce back no matter where he is at or who he will be under.

Junior will never drive like his dad and no one in NASCAR ever will again. Nowadays there are so many rules and things that you CANT drive like Dale Sr. did. And with that said even in the last few years of Dale Sr.'s life he didn't drive like he did in his prime, he had to calm down some. The cars changed from his great success of the 80's and early 90's to the late 90's and have changed also more drastically in the last 6 years since Senior passed away. Nowadays the equipment does play a way bigger role than ever before. Jr. has not had that good equipment that Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson have had, but Jr. takes driving probably more seriously than anyone out there. You say he doesn't just because he's not a hot head, and he doesn't wreck people. But Jr. is very smart, takes care of his cars because if you take chances and tear it up thats a whole lot of money lost right there, and if you want to talk about the rest of his house, he has so many things set up that the majority of his time off the track is spent practicing and workin on racing and stuff. He is one of the most mature in NASCAR. people like Kyle Busch, and even Tony Stewart are the ones that need to "grow up" as you say because their attitudes can be bad sometimes and thats not good. Jr. has a great attitude, and he drives out there to have fun. He does have all the money he ever needs, which is very different from his dad, so he doesnt have to be an agressive mean driver, but i guarantee he will be winning championships in the next few years. His dad came from nothing, had to be agressive and mean otherwise he didnt eat that week, that was all he had for income all based on a dream and his talent. Jr. was born into the money and so he doesn't have to worry about that which is why he can concentrate more about the racetrack, and any career you choose in life should be fun so i applaud him for that.

I like Nascar and Jeff Gordon is my favorite driver. I don't want to see Hendricks Motorsports with Dale Jr. next year. I don't think he is as serious or as good as his dad and that he needs to grow up and face life as it is- he is not a good Nascar racer! Changing teams won't help him be a winner.

I think with a new team and a new car, we may see more wins out of Dale Jr.

I think sometimes, my opinion that the Earnhardt team is holding him back.

He can't race like his dad did, NASCAR won't let him or anyone else.

Senior was a pioneer and blazed a trail for racing, I truly hope someone can step up and be an advocate like he was.

I still Miss seeing SR on the tracks.

Being a Dale Jr fan, he will always be a winner to me whether he wins a championship or not. Hendrick equipment alone will not make Dale Jr a winner. It is up to him to use that equipment along with his driving skills and see where that takes him and his team. I think that he will do a lot better in 2008 since all of the drama from DEI will be in his rear view mirror. All we can do now is just wait to see what happens!

WOW! what a discussion this makes up. I'm a Jr fan all the way. No matter what his season is like he will still have me as a fan. Yep this year really has been rough on him. But look at the DNF"s that he has had. I believe that most of them have been related to the engine blowing. Like this weekend 3 of the 7 cars that had the same engine package in them went home early.
I really wonder what is going to happen when Jr has the good equipment of Hendricks and the appropriate support that will stand beside him?
I think next season could be an interesting one if not a winning one.

I like Dale Jr. No he isn't like his dad. He doesn't have to be. He didn't have it ruff in the same way his dad did. He does have big shoes to fill though because everyone compares him to his dad. I don't think where he's at will make him a winner. It will be how he conducts himself and applies what he has learned from his dad and others including himself. Yes I believe he can do better. That of course may come with age.

I guess we all know now what the moce to Hendricks will do for Jr.

Can't wait till the points start adding up.
