we got a new turtle whats a good name?

we had a little red ear slider untill about a year ago when it died. between my cousion and i we had it for almost 10 years. it was the nicest little thing i loved it and was so upset when it died. it loved the kids and being out of it tank. it would walk up to you it was like a mini dog really.
well some freinds of ours find them in the road all the time where they live nad they pick them up and take them to a place by their house with water. they carry boxes in their truck just for this. well anyway they found one tonight that was more so freindly then others they have found. we think maybe someone else had had it and then let it go. well me having a huge empty turtle tank sitting in the garage fell in love with the little thing and now we have a new turtle. our last turtles name was franklin because of the cartoon my cousions little girl named him so now we are trying to think of a good name for this one. we have dog named allyia and she was easy to name it just fit but what do you name a turtle? any ideas?

I think that Franklin is cute too. What about Pokey?
We use to have 2 turtles and called them Schmit and Schmat.

I have a tortoise name Troy. I think that's a cute name for a turtle too. What about Oscar? That's cute too.

thanks for the ideas. i like troy but oscar just seems like a bigger mean turtle. i think after watching seasame street for so long oscar was so mean and thats all i can think of. i will have to run troy by the family and see what ones they like the most.

Aww, Franklin is a cute name! My son used to watch that show all of the time and has some of the books. I've always thought that Myrtle would be a cute name for a turtle. Myrtle the turtle! lol

At first I didn't know what name will I baptised to my turtle. But I come up with Keoni. So I used to call it Keoni. In his third month at my jurisdiction, it lays egg. So, I already distinguished her gender. Now I have decided to change it's name to venus since the first one sounds very masculine. :-)
