I just thought that basically all of us get called by another name by maybe friends, family and colleagues. So what are the names that you are known for and what is the story behind each one of those nicknames?
Well my real name is Jennifer, so I also do by Jen.
Family and relatives call me Bing, my nanny gave me that nickname and when I asked her just recently why Bing, since it has got nothing to resemble my real name, she said so that as I grow up and eventhough she's not taking care of me anymore, I would always remember her, and actually she's succeeded because everytime friends ask why am I called Bing by my family members, I would tell them that story and it reminds me of my nanny.
My friends call me turtz, short for turtle, one of them said I had thin lips that she called turtle lips, and so they call me turts from then on.
Another group of friends call me cheeky, I think it would have something to do with my prominent cheekbone.
Some people that I known online would refer to me as smints since that has been my username eversince.
So how about your nicks? Tell me how they came about...

My friends call me tams or tam. There is really no story behind it, it is just short for tammy. When I first moved here my first boss would call me tam I actually hated that but whatever. Others started to call me that and tams so I made myself like it! LOL I started talking to people online and apparently it is natural for people to call me one or the other because without me saying anything they would call me one or the other. Now I use that whenever I can for my username on programs I am involved in. :)

Well my name is Nikki. Some of my family call me Nikki Noodle or Noodle. I've had people call me Picky Nikki because I'm very picky about my food. I don't know how Noodle came about. I guess someone just said it once and it stuck.
