External Hard Drive  | |  I want to get an external hard drive for my music, videos and pictures. Does anyone have any reccomendations? I am looking to spend under $100. I would like around 50 gb and a decent speed. I have been looking around but nothing has really caught my eye yet. Size and shape are not an issue.

| | | | | | | | | 1. jzerbini (89) | 3 years ago |  Anything really, there isn't much diversity in hard drives other than size and speed. If you are just storing files and don't need to transport them why not just get an internal drive, their not to hard to install.
In external you can get both firewire and usb, firewire is faster but you will want usb if you don't have a firewire port on your machine.

This is a stationary drive, not a portable. I paid about $120 at Best Buy earlier this year, but I have seen them advertised for $99.
