A good friend of mine is from Australia..Brisbane Australia. They tell me Brisbane is the 3rd largest city in Australia. Brisbane has some really nice sites to see and a very good site to book a hotel stay while you visiting Brisbane is: http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com.au/Australia/Brisbane/ They have hotels with ratings from one star up to the five star status. Rates very from AUD 65 up to AUD 139 ($55 usd - $119 usd) and allow you to book appointments well in advance or you can call up the same day you are arriving and make a last minute booking. My friend in Brisbane actually suggest some place that are excellent hotels..like the Manor Apartments in Brisbane which you can book by going to: http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com.au/Australia/Brisbane/City/Manor-Apartments-Brisbane--The--L5789H.htm There price is a hefty AU 139 For almost half that price you can stay at the 3 star hotel: The Sapphire Resort in brisbane..which I prefer to the Manor Apartments.. Their price is: 78 AUD and if you look at their picture..you will see why I prefer them to the five star Manor Apartments: http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com.au/Australia/Brisbane/City/Sapphire-Resort-Brisbane-L15572R.htm Since I am so new to the world of travel I have to rely on others to help find good sites to book ahead. With the site I use here you don't even have to book ahead.. You can login the day you are due to arrive and still save on your rates. Do you like using travel agency or travel sites to book you travel ahead? Or do you just drop in and say "here I am" For travelers abroad here is a very good link for currency exchanger: http://www.x-rates.com/calculator.html Remember if you are going to brisbane use "Cheaper than hotels" they are guaranteed the cheapest..Not only for Brisbane Australia ...so many many other areas in Europe!!
