What is the least you ever paid to see a movie in the theatre?

Can you beat 10¢? That's what I paid when I was a kid visiting my cousins in Alpine, Texas. I was used to paying 50¢ at the theatre in Shreveport, LA where we lived at the time I was a kid but I was impressed that my cousins only had to pay 10¢. That was definitely a bargain! So, what was the least you ever paid?

50 cents....yikes--what year was that? Even as a kid I think maybe movies were at least $1.50 here and maybe $3 or $4 for adults...my mom used to tell me she paid 5-cents for a movie...Talk about inflation...now a movie ticket is at least $8.00

Here in L.A., the movie tickets are at least $9 for matinees and $11 - $14 for all other shows. That's why I buy my tickets through Club Mom on the internet because they are only $5.50 each. You have to wait until the film has been out for two weeks to use them but that's okay. I don't want to fight crowds anyway. I prefer going when virutally no one is there and I can enjoy the movie in peace.

Wish I could do something like that here, but at the local theatre near me they only keep movies about a week only, two tops

In college, there was a $1.00 movie theatre that showed movies 2-3 months after their release date. They always had one week a year where it was "customer appreciation week." Movie tickets were $.25 as well as sodas and popcorn!

The least I ever paid was 50 cents because it was half price Tuesday at the dollar theater. My mom and I went to see 'Walk the Line', the movie about Johnny Cash and his life.
