Good time on the 4th

So did everyone have a nice 4th of July yesterday? I went over my family and we had a barbeque played games and did alot of laughing. It started to rain but my cousin had a real big canapy we brought the tables under that.LOL No one went swimming my cousin has a real nice pool. It was cloudy all day and not a nice day to go swimming. They didnt have the fireworks because of the rain. So there is a raindate. But we all had a good time and thats all that matters. Did you have a good time?

Ours was very quiet. My husband is overseas at the moment so it was just my son and I. We bought some munchies and sat in front of the tv watching a few family movies. I was a little apprehensive to go downtown to Vienna or DC to watch the fireworks on my own as I was afraid I might lose my son in the huge crowds. Just as well though because I heard 11 people got injured at the Vienna fireworks - so sad!

I'm glad you had a good time...it was overcast and rainy a bit here too--I had a nice relaxing time at home, but did go out for a bit..I had gotten involved with a discussion about steaks and how do you like them and it dawned on me that I hadn't had a nice steak dinner in awhile...so since my supermarket was open went there got a nice steak ... so had the steak with sauteed mushrooms and onions with garlic powder sprinkled on and french fries..oh, my I was in heaven...hehe...and uh, so were my kitties...you just KNOW that they got a lot of my steak dinner--but then they're so deprived...yeah, sure...LOL

Glad you had a wonderful time. My husband had to work and our kids live too far away to come home. I spend the day by myself. Doing other things. No grill out and no fireworks. However I could hear fireworks going off all around me.
