Celebrities and the products they pimp.  

i'd be willing to bet the majority don't actually use the product.
with the exception of musicians that get equipment for endorsements.

celebs using something really doesn't influence me to buy,my close friends that have used it themselves would be a better endorsement for me :)

No, I don't buy products because of endorsements by celegrities. Some of them may use the products while the are doing the commercials. Sports stars such as tennis players do use the equipment they advertise, but then besides being paid large sums to endorse it, they get it free.

I think that they probably get paid a lot to get made up to look like they had a bad case of acne... Anyway, I don't buy anything just because a celebrity says they use it. We all know that they are paid a lot to promote these products, so I wouldn't put any stock in what they say in it. Acting is acting, whether it is a commercial or a television show.

I rarely ever base my purchasing on if a celeb endorses something or not. They get strapped for cash like everyone else and end up having to pimp themselves and their name out to make money. If they really stood behind something and believed in it then more power to them but in most cases they are just there to make a buck.

I discovered this discussion in the "related discussions" below on on politics, asking me if celebrity endorcements influence my voting. I'll give the same answer to this discussion that I gave to that one.

No, they do not!

I don't care who is using what, voting for whom, or whateer. I will do what I will do based on how I feel about someone/something, not based on how someone else feels about it.

No I don't. Who has the money for that? Isn't money what it all comes down to? Why they are trying to sell something? To get paid.
