My little lady, is starting daycare on Monday. this will be the very first time that one of my children will not be in the care of family. I know that it is a great daycare and she will be just fine. I went there with her this morning to drop off some paper work and she wanted to just get right in there and start school. My question is, how to i get as ready as she is? How do i let go of my two year old muffin without losing my mind? LOL

It's always hard to take a child to some "unknown." I know I cried taking my son to daycare, and when we switched daycares. I cried when he started preschool, kindergarten, and when we moved, at his 2nd first day of kindergarten. Silly, huh? Now, don't fret. Just know that what you are feeling is natural, and you are going to cry. Just relax and take a deep breath. Kiss her, then run! Well, don't run, but, you know what I mean. (((((((((HUGS)))))))) You'll make it!!!

Thanks for the BR!!! How did your daughter's first day go? How did your first day go? I think the worst part for me when my kids left for school was the quiet. I like quiet, but it was just TOO quiet. Now, I am counting down...5 1/2 weeks until school starts again. LOL!

Awwww momma, I lknow it's hard! But the fact that she wants to get right in there and start school is a GREAT sign. She should have no trouble adjusting! Kids want to be around other kids their age so she'll have so much fun! As for you, just buy some stock in Kleenex and you'll be fine too!

i just dropped her off to her second full day of school. she cried. it broke my heart but i know that it is important that she does this. she does need to be around other children and i need to work. so this is going to work out for the both of us

Letting go is one of the hardest things us Mammas have to do and I cried on my boy's first day at nursery..Then I cried again after my divorce when at ten he said he wanted to stay with Daddy because Daddy had the houe and his room, whereby I was homeless and kipping at a friend's house. I have let go and cried many times. I was abused..and then punished on top for the abuse. Well life has to change someday. At least I get to see him once a week and I am still friendly with his Dad so things can be worse can't they? I count my blessings that we are all fairly healthy. That puts everything into perspective.

i am sorry to hear what happen with you and your husband. that really sucks. i am just going to have to let my baby grow up because they don't stay babies for to long. she is my last child and i wanted her to stay a baby forever. i know that is not going to happen but i can have hope! LOL

It's hard to let go of our babies and you'll probably cry. Make sure if you cry she doesn't see you and carry some tissue. It get much easier once you see how much she enjoys day care.
