| Red Wings Re-Sign Hasek to a one year contract  | | | |  According to detnews.com, the Red Wings have re-signed Hasek to a one year deal worth $2 million plus the option to earn up to another $2 in bonuses.
I'm very happy that Hasek was re-signed. It wasn't looking very good for awhile, especially when the rumors surfaced that the Wings were starting to look at other free agent goaltenders.

| | The Wings picked up Dallas Drake this week, who was originally drafted by the Wings. At first, I wasn't too sure about that move, but after reading that the move was to make up for the loss of Bertuzzi, it made more sense. Drake's contract is $1.1 million this season and his health isn't as questionable as Bert's.
Also, Shanahan re-signed with the Rangers for a low contract with bonus options. My 2007 Shanahan unrealistic hope of returning to the Wings has ended. :(
