So many Actors from Elsewhere  | |  I never really noticed before just how many actors that have been in Quantum leap have been on other shows that I've seen. I'm not somebody who follows or notices actors and that kind of thing. I don't know what a gaffer is (is that lighting?). But it's always fun for me to watch something that has an actor I've seen from something else.
I mean, in Good Morning, Peoria alone had both Patricia Richardson who I've also seen on Home Improvement, and Richard McKenzie who I recall as Dr. Saxon on TV's Soap as well as the judge from Gideon's Trumpet. And in the Season 2 Premiere, Honeymoon Express, Warren Frost who played Doc Hayward on Twin Peaks plays the senator who gets replaced with Sam's and Al's time-traveling misadventures. And now in "Thou Shalt Not..." I'm absolutely pretty sure I just saw Russ Tamblyn in the background, and he played the eccentric Dr. Lawrence Jacoby, also from Twin Peaks. Oh, and I can't forget the two actresses from "Lois and Clark", K Callan in "The Americanization of Machiko" and Teri Hatcher in...I can't remember which Season 1 episode.
I don't really know why it's a big deal to me. But it's kind of fun to match the faces up. Sort of like a game to see how many people you can recognize from who's been in what. Any additions?

Jennifer Aniston (Friends) was on an episode. Brooke Shields (Suddenly Susan) was on an episode where she and Sam was trapped on an island. Patricia Richardson (Home Improvement) and Chubby Checker were on an episode together. Bruce McGill (MacGyver) was on the first and last episodes. Others include:

I remember:
Valerie Mahaffey was in the episode that centered around the horror novelist. She later appeared on Wings (I believe she was obsessed with Joe) and most recently, was on Desperate Housewives, playing yet another obsessed woman.
Liz and Jean Sagal, the twins from Double Trouble (one of the twins played the mirror image).
Diedrich Bader was in the motorcycle gang episode. He later played Oswald on The Drew Carey Show.
John D'Aquino, who played Frank LaMotta in the episode entitled "Jimmy" (as well as the follow up episode) later showed up on JAG. Jimmy also had a role in the movie I Am Sam.
Heidi Swedberg was in the dancing episode with Debbie Allen. She played Susan, George's fiance, on Seinfeld.
Leon Rippy played a sheriff, and later had a major role in Deadwood.
Marcia Cross played a woman in love with her female roommate. She now plays Bree on Desperate Housewives.
Tia Carrere appeared in an episode, but I don't remember which one or who she played.
I am sure there are many more I left out.

But I had to look up Tia Carrera, since her name was strangely familiar. She played Chu-Hoi in "The Leap Home, Part 2", but I remember her from the movie Zombie Nightmare which was features on MST3K! | |
