I have had this experience a lot many times, but most of the cases it will be a wrong number, and would be calling some X. Also, I have a close friend who would send sms to me even in late night.. if she is does not get sleep.... To avoid all these, Sometimes i put the phone in silence mode, or even switch off.. What about you guys and gals..

Yes. Since I use a smartphone and therefore I won't turn it off unless it's power off or I change the battery. And for a few times, my cellphone really rang at midnight and that's quite annoying. But when the earthquake happened, my good friend from UK sent me a message and asked whether I was OK. So this is very nice, although this message woke me up. I love China

I am happy to have a phone with true tones in it, when it rings, its like listening to a good music coz I downloaded good sounds into my phone, sometimes if i wanted a really good sleep, I just turned my cellular phone off at night.. :)

Usually, no. I switch off my mobile phone when I am asleep so no one would be able to reach me via that mobile. But sometimes, I do forget to switch it off. But really, only spammers call me in the middle of the night.

I always put my phone into silent mode during night time. I don't want to be disturbed honestly not unless if it's really very important or emergency cases you know. If that person cannot contact me thru my mobile fone, our landline is always available anyway. We never put in a silent mode. ;)

i usually i dont keep my mobile in silent mode at night as i the alarm in the mobile on as i may have to get up early. so i have to keep it in ring mode otherwise i wont be able to hear the alarm. the whole day the mobile will be in silent mode but a t night it wont be. so sometimes when a sms comes or a call comes it really disturbs me a lot.

It happened all the time when I was college. I would go to sleep, but my cell phone also acted as my alarm clock, so it had to remain on no matter what was going on. I would get wrong numbers, people calling me at weird times of night to go hang out or go to grab a bite to eat or something. I also had a lot of friends who would call me at night to talk to me then because it was the only time a lot of us had free between classes, work, and other commitments that I had back then. Nowadays, it doesn't happen too much anymore.

I do have that quite often. My husband is in Iraq and will call when he gets the chance which most often is at 1 in the morning. I worry that I will miss his call if I am sleeping too heavily. Also, my brother likes to call at all hours of the night to tell me things and I keep telling him not to call unless it is an emergency. I never leave my phone on silent because I am afraid something will happen to my parents or my husband and I won't get the message until later.

Dear saivenkaat802003 I have been disturbed many times by ringing of my mobile phone when I am asleep .. It really disturbs my sleep .. even if my phone is on silent mode a soft and hard to hear -- beep kind of sound comes out of it .. and it disturbs my sleep sometimes if I am not in deep sleep. It becomes hard to sleep again once after this .. and it takes a lot of time for me to sleep again that's y I have started to keep my mobile in silent mode at night time .. but sometimes it happens that I simply forget to change the mode to silent and the bell rings and disturbs my sleep .. I really don't understand why some people can't sleep at night time .. Everyone should sleep at right time .. like the saying goes -- Early to bed and early to rise .. makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise :)
