My sister is a pre-school teacher and one of her students is her one year old grandson. She's always got the cutest little stories to tell about the kids. One of my favorites is about the children's sippy cups.
During lunch time, all the sippy cups are put together and each child is suppose to get theirs. But instead of doing this, they try all of them until they find one with juice instead of water. I thought that this was so cute. But, I told my sister to tell the teacher who does the lunches to supervise, because this is how germs are spread. She said my nephew keeps a cold. I am not surprised.

That is cute! I was a preschool teacher too and in North Carolina we weren't allowed to let them have sippy cups at all. It made a lot of parents mad because several kids weren't on cups yet. I loved being a teacher, but you were expected to go to school constantly, on top of taking classes to get certified in different things. I stayed so busy!

Sippy cups do make the transition from bottle to cup a lot easier, but I guess some places do not want to be bothered with washing them and things like that.
You can always give a child a paper cup and then just throw it away. With the sippy cups you have to make sure that they are clean, just like the bottles.

Even though it sounds cute, you're right about the germs. She should just keep them separate and have each child take their own cup. Do they do he same with food and snacks too? sheesh those kids are smart!

That's the good thing about starting kids in school at a young age, they mature a lot faster. I was surprised when I saw him the day before mother's day at church. We were having a tea party, and his mother sat him on the carpeted steps inside for a minute.
He just sat there with his arms folded in his lap. He hardly looked one at that point. He looked like a much older midgit. So when he hits the terrible twos, I guess he wont be quite as terrible.

Rozie37, that is really cute, but you're right about the germs though.
