| Finger Acupressure: A Home Remedy for Some Ailments  | | | |  Are you familiar with finger accupressure? Considered an ancient art of healing, it has become popular in homes for minor sickness like insomnia, hypertension, hiccups, dizziness, common cold, fever, etc. One has to use his/her fingers to press certain pressure points: light pressure for subjects sufffering from acute pain, hard pressure for people with no complications. Example, for abdominal pain, use thumb to press down, then massage upward about 3 inches below the knee cap; for dizziness, in between the eyebrows, and so on. I just got a book from a bookstore on finger acupressure, and I will try it if it works. Of course, this is just a first aid remedy; it does not take the place of a real medical application.

| |  Yes, I have heard about it and had tried it several times on my grandchild whenever she has difficulty breathing because of a running nose, and I think it does alleviate or improve one's condition. I believe in the power of touch in the healing process especially if done with some amount of pressure at certain points of the body which is just like having some switches in the body that need to be switched on. I think that is the idea of acupressure, also to help circulate blood, to move stagnant parts of the body that are seldom or never moved, etc.

| |  I know about reflexology because I do it. I am a part time reflexologist. What you said is true. It is very helpful and in fact its got healing effects. But it was true, it can not take the place of real medical application but I was able to save a lot of money by using it whenever I have physical problems. It was effective and I was able to take of my eye glasses through it. I no longer need eye glasses becoz reflexoloxy restored my good eye sight.
