This has just been announced on the BBC and the new ones are.. ~Ruins of Chichen Itza in Mexico ~Brazil's Statue of Christ the Redeemer, which gazes down over Rio de Janeiro ~The Colosseum in Rome ~The Great Wall of China ~Peru's Machu Picchu, 2,430m (8,000ft) up a mountain slope, is the remains of an Inca city. ~Jordan's Petra - the famed Rose City - also made the list. ~India's Taj Mahal, a tomb built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his favourite wife Do you agree with these or would you prefer to see something else on the list? Surely either Niagra or Victoria Falls should have been there?

It's good that the Taj Mahal is there, we need to see different sights up there, and I'm quite happy to see some from South America.. Thanks for your input!

Hanging Gardens of Babylon - Hanging Gardens of Babylon have Lost Their Place in the Top Seven
They are all just perfect. I can't imagine how anyone would not be inspired by any of them; but even more so I can't imagine how awesome a job it must have been to pick only seven. Thank you so much for this update.~Donna

I totally agree all are awe-inspiring, I think what happened was they did pick alot, and people voted for them, to my understanding the Taj Mahal wasn't in the running for along time, so nearly missed out! Thanks for your input!

They had to vote on some new ones. A few of the previous ones where no longer able to be seen. Nothing to view and visit. So I think this new list is pretty good and that hopefully they will take care of these and not let these become a thing of the past. The hanging gardens was one of the previous ones that I had loved.

I think it's quite diverse, it's nice to see some from South America in there and the Taj Mahal. Thanks for your input!

I was disappointed that the statues of Easter Island weren't picked nor the Acropolis in Athens..but I had picked in a poll, the ruins of Chichen Itza, Machu Picchu and the Petra, among my votes..No I think the seven wonders of the world meant wonders that had been built..Niagra or Victoria Falls would be considered natural wonders

Oh I didn't realise they had to be built to be considered - I suppose it makes sense! I think they we're picked originally but probably didn't get enough votes for them? Thanks for your response!
