My cat catched a sparrow yesterday / myLot

It's really an interesting thing. Yesterday, my cat was playing at the window. And I found its behavior was strange. Then I walked forward to it and was surprised to find that it has catched a sparrow! I didn't know whether my cat would eat the bird or just play with it,hehe. But I saved the bird and let it to fly away. How nimble my cat is :)

My parent's outdoor cats routinely brought home birds and snakes. They are carnivores and predators by nature. Its what they do.

my black cat's habit was running off on top of our coconut tree and then get back a sparrow to eat it.. i find it really odd and amusing at the same time that he would actually go that far to just catch a bird :P

lol yeah because he's an outdoor cat and he goes where he pleases all the time ^^; he's good at catching mice and skinks and roaches (eww) too :P haha

Hello Izjilbb, Hmmm...unfortunately I don't have any pet. If I do, definitely it some kind of interesting scene to watch. But I don't have the heart to let the cat plays with the bird so I will definitely do the same like you. I cannot bear having a pet as I know I am not a good owner *laugh*

We had a dog that caught a mouse out in the yard once and was playing with it. I didn't save the mouse. He was sitting ther with a paw on the hind quarters of the mouse and just watching it trying to get away.

So interesting,hehe. In China, we think dog catching a mouse means someone always like to care about thers' business. Coz it's cats' job :)

yes off course you have done a good job... but one thing remember..you survival the bird for only one day.. but cat doesnt follow your words...it will catch the bird next time and it will eat...
