What remedies do you take for mouth/oral/aphthous ulcers. They can be really painful and irritating. I've tried a few and the results are variable. 1. Ribloflavin or vitamin B tablets 2. Rubbing butter on the ulcers. 3. Eating a good amount of green leafy vegetables. 4. Rubbing salt - really painful but apparently heals the ulcer fast. I've never tried this. 5. Rubbing a mixture of powdered aspirin and prednisolone. One of my colleagues told me to try this but it sounded dangerous. 6. Trying a lot of Oral ulcer gels! What have you used? What do you suggest?

Mouth wash with salty water works for me. It doesn't cost anything too! Ok, it is a bit sore - like rubbing salt into the wound, haha, but it seems to do the job. The other method which is also sore is to bite the ulcer to get the blood flowing and cleaning it out that way.
