dogs and your computer room  | |  has anyone ever had a problem with your dog entering your computer room? i was working on converting a video file on my pc... left it on all night to get the job done while i slept. the conversion was going to take 4 hours... when i woke up my cousins dog was lying underneath the desk that my computer is on and with only 3 minutes or less for the conversion to be over with the dog moves and unplugs my computer.
i had to start all over on the conversion just because the dog decided to lye down under my computer. has this ever happened to anyone before? and don't you hate losing all that time and having to start over when it should've been finished the first time? i sure do.

| | | | | | | | 1.  Prairiedawn31 (1168) | 1 year ago |  Well since my computer sits right in the living room I do have my doggy laying under my Computer Desk all the time. I even put his towel down for him under there it is like his quiet spot to lay. I do have to wrap my keyboard cord up under my keyboard though so he doesn't get tangled in it. I have never had a problem with him unplugging me though because I have a surge protector I am all plugged into and then that is plugged into the outlet. I have however had my son step on the switch on the surge protector and shut me off quite a few times. He is always trying to climb between me and my desk and stands in front of me and plays with his toys on my desk haha I usually have a line of his toys along my desk. I am always telling everyone this is not their docking station to sit their stuff down. It does get frustrating though when you are in the middle of something like that and get unplugged and have to start all over and reboot and everything. I have had this happen when I was in the middle of surveys and luckily was able to get back to where I got disconnected from.

| chrozinc23 (42) | 1 year ago | i also have a power strip surge prtotecter that i'm plugged into, but it doesn't help when my work is almost done and then i have to start all over again. my computer is a seperate room from the living room. it was my uncles old room and the dog shouldn't really have a need to go in there. but i got the project done though, it took eight hours instead of four since i had to start again from the beginning. | |

I don't kinow ho many time I found my webcam and speaker on the floor. The other he also disconnect my mouse. I thought it was broken lol

| chrozinc23 (42) | 1 year ago | i use to have to put up with that at my moms house. she had a lot of cats and they would knock my computer stuff over all the time when climbing around on my desk. but that's not as bad as having to start a project that was almost done over again because the entire machine was unplugged.:D thanks the responces.
