my benefits from tea tree oil  

Hi there. Oh great, Tea tree oil does have alot of great benefits as you have already pointed out...

I got a small bottle for some itches. I did not use it, but I cut my ankles or rather my new shoes did, and it did help. However I should have bought it at the local bulk store. The one at Safeway was way too expensive. I also notice there are soaps that contain tea tree oil for people like me who are allergic to perfumed soaps. I have not heard it is good for zits, but I do still get them (I have oily skin) so I will use it more often.

it is really great. I don't have tea tree oil but tea tree oil moisturiser instead. It's really great and definately helps with pimples and I've noticed it really helps relieve chafing

i was told that tea tree oil is also good for removing ticks. just dab a little on the little bugger and he will start to back out from where he's bitten you in as little as 30 seconds. my sister swears by this stuff!

does tea tree oil help to cure acne pigmentation basically i had acne since 6years now and i have really bad scars left on my face which are quiet annoying i must say can some please tell me if it's going to help me cure my acne scars and pigmentation on my face

Hi, Chinky-eyes, I myself use tea tree oil for cleaning and itches/burns. I do like using the stuff but a word of caution, pure, undiluted tea tree oil *CAN* be an irritant, especially on children. If you break out in a rash, please dilute it. Right now there are many products out that that contain the oil, 99% of the time if tea tree oil is about 1% or less percentage, it's very safe. Also it can be toxic if digested in its pure form, so don't use it in your drinks. I do use tea made from the Melaleuca leaves, which is perfectly safe.

Having said that, I love the stuff, especially for cleaning. It works as a germicide and cuts through grease, and gives off a lovely aroma in your cleaning mixture. A recipe I like to use for cleaning is as follows:

2 cups of warm water
1 capful of white vinegar
1 teaspoon of baking soda
5-10 drops of tea tree oil

Mix well and let set for 10 minutes, and voila, you have an all-natural all-purpose cleaner! :-)
