Even some have different animation and don't go along with the series, I always like them because they are like a bonus that adds on to the anime and manga. Besides, if you like a series to begin with, I don't see how the OVA could be bad, unless all the voices changed or something or it was really bad quality for some reason...
I usually like the anime better though because there is more to see.

4.  klone_2126 (625) | 3 years ago |  till now i can see all the OVA is great. that is not the point to think which is the best. usually the OVA is the worst but come to think again. dont you think they just do this OVA for joke. OVA is born to attracted larger fan out there. maybe from this time many new comers get caught to this anime titles, we can called it advertising term in order to prevent anime fan from losing till they get out the new seasons. as you can see many titles get out with OVA before their new season like Initial D, Naruto, One Piece & many more. so gambareyo to you all...

| 5. Jumpin (82) | 3 years ago |  I'm not too sure. Definitly the series give you exactly 'what' a anime is...and OVAs just add spice to it. It's like a scene taken out from after the series is over...and its definitly fun, and not too serious. I love watching the short OVAs.

7.  AnimeMom (259) | 2 years ago |  Hmmm i really think it depends on said OVA. I enjoyed some of the Rurouni Kenshin/ Samuri X OVA's. But others not so much. To be honest the entire Ruriouni Kenshin series is just amazing. The last episode is a little bit disappointing.
