Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix the movie

I really didn't like this one. It was like they were fast-forwarding through the plot to fit everything in so it was choppy and parts didn't really work. My husband and I are hoping that they will release a four-hour director's cut on DVD. That would hopefully fill in some of the holes. There were also plot points that were changed seemingly for the sake of change rather than because it made sense for the movie. Not one class, not one mention of Quidditch, hardly any of the teen angst of the book. All in all, there was too much book to fit into this movie.

This movie was probably the most poorly done of all of them so far. I truly had high hopes for it, and was very disappointed. The whole thing was very choppy, jumping from scene to scene with little or no transition. Far too much of the book's plot was left out...and then things were added that were never part of the book! There was no Dobby, no Quidditch, no mention of the rift between Percy and his family, no real mention of the fact Fred and George were leaving school for good, etc. And the battle in the Ministry, which should have been the BIGGEST scene of all? It made Dumbledore's Army look inept and silly, as though they would have been dead if not rescued by the Order. And Sirius's death was like a comedic parody of the real thing.....I wanted to SCREAM when I saw that!!!

well...to be said...i did not like the movie at all....
i had read the book and saw the movie...the movie had nothing which was there in the book....only a little was there...
my friends who had not read the book liked the movie...
In the movie they had not put a part where Ron gets a chance in the Gryffindor Quidditch Team as a Goaly...and he wins the match for Gryffindor...etc...those were not at all there....

Goblet Of Fire was better really...then the Chamber Of Secrets...then Prisoner Of Azkaban then this one....then the 1st movie....

The movie was a complete let down, In the beginning when they were cutting down on so many things i thought this might be to collect some time for the ending scenes, for the mighty fight at the ministry of magic, i was also highly anticipating for the fight between voldermort & dumbledore ...but after i saw all that .. i just cursed loudly. This is what they do AFTER DOWNSIZING THE WHOLE MOVIE. What should have been a mindblowing fight sequence starting from the prophecy scence till the end was nuthin more than a petty hide & seek with fireworks. THIS MOVIE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT THE ORDER OF THE PHONEIX ... NOT FOR ONCE DID I FEEL THAT THERE WAS ANY ROLE FOR THE ORDER OF THE PHONEIX IN THIS MOVIE.
I CAN UNDERSTAND IF THEY CUT OUT THE SLOPPY PARTS TO GET TIME FOR THE IMPORTANT SEQUENCES ... BUT THEY DID NOT DO THAT ... & that escaped my logic.

Also where was all that about going thru many doors & then reaching the prophecy room ... the prophecy room looked like a dump yard ..nuthing more

this movie was areal let down.they just forwarded to fit in all the people.dint like it much

I have to say I enjoyed the movie, but they still cut out many other things that were in the book. I would have liked to see more quidditch and all those other things, (just to lighten up the movie) either way the movie was good, but like usual the book was better

Just wait....the Chinese version of the final book will not release until October.....I lose patience.

I watch the movie 1st day of its release here in the Philippines. yup I believe that the book is way much better than the movie. Although i find order of Phoenix the most boring of the 6 installments. But i think the movie was ok.....Although the death of Sirius should have been given more emphasis i think....

I haven't read the book actually and isn't much of a Potter fan (i do not recall watching a single Potter movie except this one, if i've seen one before then it didn't retain in my memory...hehe!)... i watched the movie with much expectations because i heard that it's very good in the book. Though i was able to comprehend most of the story but i was really quite disappointed. There wasn't too much action than i expected specially in the scenes where Dumboldore is fighting with Voldemort. The death of Sirius also failed to capture the emotions of the audience, it's too quick. However, there's no coherence in the transition between scenes perhaps because the movie is too fast. Nevertheless, there were also scenes which i like such as that part where Dumblodore's army practiced using their happy memories to make beautiful creatures out from their wands and the scene with lots of fireworks which really captured the shrewd yet amusing waywardness of teenagers.

Well, its just a movie and perhaps you could not really capture everything from a book in a movie...simply because books usually stirs up our imagination and we all know that there is no limit to what we could imagine. however, putting our imagination into a film is a lot difficult because imagination is far beyond technology and technology has its own limitations.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I planned to today. Shhhh,..,,,don't tell me the story,,,lol
