wow.. dbz is kinda old, but from my recollection he goes on to fight frieza. hey may kill a couple of nobodies in the meantime, but eventually he fights the big cheese, frieza.

He fought the leader of Ginyu Force which has the capabilty of body exchange. but in the end that guy exchange himself with a frog. .meanwhile, picollo, fought freeza first in his first form. but after freeza's 2nd and third form, he was defeated. then, vegeta came. did everything he could, even try to upgrade his power. but no avail, he was defeated too. when goku arrived vegeta started babbling about goku being super saiyan.but freeza got pissed and killed vegeta. then, that's the time goku and freeza fought.

i think he kills the rest of the ginyu force and then fights the ginyu leader then the ginyu leader switches bodies with him and they fight from their then goku finds a way to switch back to his body and turns the ginyu leader into a frog
